Astra Desktop
Astra is a desktop AI agent for everyone, made by CircuitNotion in Kigali, Rwanda. It can do the things you would normally do on your computer yourself. You say what you want in ordinary words, watch it happen, and approve anything before it changes. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac.
Version 0.14.13
Free to install. You will need a CircuitNotion account to sign in, and the app spends from your credits as you use it.
653 downloads so far, across every version and platform.

What it does
Not a chat window that tells you what to do. Astra opens the folder and does it, in front of you.
Point Astra at a folder on your computer. It reads what is there, writes the changes you ask for, and shows you each one before it happens.
Say what you want in ordinary words. There is no syntax to learn and nothing to install alongside it. The work happens in front of you, visually.
Sign in with your CircuitNotion account and the app spends from the same wallet as everything else. You can see the running cost as you go.
Windows
This is expected, and it is not a warning about Astra. Windows shows it for any installer whose publisher it has not seen often enough yet. Two clicks get past it.
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen keeps a reputation score for every application publisher. A new installer has no score yet, so it is shown as unrecognised. The message is about how many times Windows has seen the file, not about what is in it. The warning goes away on its own as more people install it.
Every download here starts at www.circuitnotion.com over an encrypted connection, and Astra checks that each update it installs was signed by us before it will run it. If somebody sends you an Astra installer from anywhere else, do not run it.
Updates
Astra checks for new versions by itself and tells you when one is ready. You never need to come back to this page.
Astra asks for the current version when it starts. There is nothing to subscribe to and no newsletter to watch.
When a new version is out, a notice appears inside Astra saying so. Your work is not interrupted and nothing is downloaded until you say yes.
Choose to update and Astra fetches the new version, verifies it was signed by us, and restarts into it. Your projects and settings are untouched.
Every update is cryptographically signed, and Astra refuses one whose signature does not match the key built into the application. That is what stops anybody who can intercept a download from replacing an update with something else.
Questions
What people ask about Astra: what it costs, what it runs on, and what that Windows warning means.

From the same CircuitNotion credits as the API. You top up in Rwandan Francs with Mobile Money, or with a card billed in RWF or US dollars, and Astra spends from that balance as it works. There is no subscription, and unspent credits stay in your wallet.
